In collaboration with the Digital Assets Association, CLA Global TS was pleased to co-organise seminar titled ‘Digital Asset Valuation and Accounting’ on 22 August 2024.

After the opening addresses by Dr. Steven Hu, Executive Committee member of the Digital Assets Association, and Mr. Henry Tan, Group CEO & Chief Innovation Officer at CLA Global TS, the seminar provided valuable insights into accounting and valuation approaches for digital assets.

We extend our gratitude to Mr. Chia Hock Lai, Co-Chairman of the Digital Assets Association, for the opportunity to collaborate.

Speakers from CLA Global TS included Ms. Grace Lui, Co-Advisory Leader and Director of Valuation & Transaction Services, who discussed the characteristics of digital assets and their valuation requirements and approaches.

Ms. Ju May Lim, Director of Assurance & Technical at CLA Global TS, shed light on accounting for digital assets, discussing which accounting standards apply to various types of digital assets.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where participants actively discussed various perspectives on valuating and accounting for digital assets.
