Singapore, 26 April 2024 – CLA Global TS is pleased to host the recent Fintech roundtable organised by the Digital Assets Association, with a bipartisan United States (US) Congressional Delegation (CODEL) led by the US House Financial Services Committee (HFSC) Chair Representative Patrick McHenry. The congressional delegation included Representative Bryan Steil, Representative Erin Houchin, Representative Scott Fitzgerald, Representative Mike Flood, Representative Wiley Nickel, and Representative Ritchie Torres.
The HFSC is responsible for regulating the US financial services industry, monetary policy, securities and exchange, international finance, and other related areas. On 24 April 2024, the roundtable was held at the CLA Global TS office, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences among the CODEL, Executive Committee of Digital Assets Association, and players in the Singapore industry. With CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) as the principal member in the US, it’s highly fitting for CLA Global TS to host US congressmen in Southeast Asia at its office. Mr. Shaun Zheng, Director of Tax at CLA Global TS participated as one of the representatives from the Singapore industry. Topics discussed at the roundtable include balancing innovation and regulations in developing a vibrant Fintech ecosystem and Singapore’s experiences in regulating digital assets.
