Singapore, 11 August 2026 – CLA Global TS has further strengthened its presence in Malaysia with the appointment of Dr. Daniel Woo as Director, Tax, and the opening of a new office at Menara Hap Seng 3, located in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, the heart of the city’s central business district. The announcement follows the firm’s recent expansion of its Malaysia leadership team and the appointment of a Risk Advisory Director in July, reinforcing its strategic investment in the country.
Daniel brings more than 28 years of experience in Malaysian and international taxation, having held senior leadership roles with leading Big Four and international accounting firms. He has advised multinational corporations, government-linked and listed companies, family-owned enterprises, private businesses, and high-net-worth individuals on a wide range of domestic and cross-border tax matters.
As Director, Tax, at CLA Global TS‘s Malaysia office, Daniel leads the Malaysia Tax Practice, delivering practical, commercially focused tax solutions and building a trusted advisory practice that creates long-term value for clients.

The opening of CLA Global TS‘s new Kuala Lumpur office marks a significant step in the firm’s Malaysia growth strategy, with plans to expand its team to 150 professionals and strengthen its delivery of Audit, Tax, Risk Advisory, Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions, International Business Advisory and other advisory services across Malaysia.
Daniel specialises in international and corporate tax advisory, transaction tax, tax controversy, tax incentives, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) and global mobility services, advising clients across diverse industries. Beyond practice, he has played a leading role in advancing the tax profession, serving as Chief Examiner (Advanced Taxation) of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia from 2017 to 2024, contributing to technical committees and executive education, and regularly speaking at professional conferences and development programmes in Malaysia and internationally.
