Singapore, 9 June 2022 – CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) congratulates all 44 entrepreneurs awarded at the Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) Awards 2020/2021. This year’s awards recognised many Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for their resilience and growth amid the pandemic.
SOE is a non-profit charity organisation that CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) has been supporting its commendable mission, to honour and inspire excellence in business entrepreneurship with its SOE-CLA Global TS Entrepreneurship Award.

This year, the highest accolade achievement went to Mrs Tjendri Anastasia Liew, Founder and Managing Director of bakery chain Bengawan Solo. SOE-CLA Global TS Entrepreneurship Award recognises past honouree of the SOE Awards for their ability to have taken their business to new heights.

In addition to supporting the SOE Awards, CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) collaborates with SOE to run the annual ‘CLA Global TS’ Business Plan Challenge’. In its 5th year running, the challenge aims to nurture local entrepreneurs by supporting aspiring students in their entrepreneurship journey through mentorship and peer learning. Students who have participated in the past from local universities have benefited by gathering feedback from successful entrepreneurs, industry experts and leading business professionals. It provides the students a head start on their career and entrepreneurship journey. The winning team will walk away with $500 cash prize. Participating students are also welcomed to explore possible internship or employment with the firm.
About the SOE Awards:
The Spirit of Enterprise Awards platform is an annual award conferred to deserving business entrepreneurs to honour their outstanding achievements. It aims to recognise our local entrepreneurs’ courage, perseverance, and innovation in their journey of entrepreneurship. These local entrepreneurs serve to become role models for our young Singaporeans to emulate and to inspire the youths to take the bold step in becoming enterprising entrepreneurs. All nominees are interviewed by SOE’s appointed Student Interviewers who will prepare interview transcripts, together with supporting documents, for submission to SOE Judging Panel, comprising the SOE Board of Governors. The Judging Panel will review the submissions and select the honourees based on the selection criteria established.
