Singapore, 8 March 2023 – In conjunction with International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women, CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) expresses its gratitude to all women within the firm and our communities.
Mr Henry Tan, Group CEO and Chief Innovation Officer, CLA Global TS said: “Celebrating Women’s achievements around the globe, CLA Global TS would like to express our appreciation to all female colleagues who have contributed and continue to contribute to the success of the firm. Special thanks go to our Women Leaders who made up 65% of our top management team. Their leadership style offers a more diverse problem-solving approach and increases organisational collaboration. Gender equity has always been in our firm’s DNA. We ensure equal opportunities are given to our people, regardless of gender, cultural and religious background.”
Women in Accountancy
In a profession many still consider to be a man’s world, women now represent most accountants in several countries. Gender diversity in the workplace is fundamental to business success.
At CLA Global TS group, 60% of the employees in its Singapore, Malaysia and China offices are women; with 65% of the Directors being women. Research has shown that companies with more women in leadership positions are more profitable and more efficient. Women leaders also become role models to young female talents joining the industry.

In addition to the standard childcare leave, CLA Global TS provides its people with flexible work arrangements, extended childcare and family care leave. To support a better work-life balance, the firm also plans ‘Eat with your Family Day’ time off on a regular basis.

CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) is the main partner for Singapore Women’s Floorball Team since 2017. In 2022, the partnership has also taken a step further for CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) to be named the first partner supporting the rising talents of future national players, the Women’s Under 19 (U19) National Youth Floorball Squad. The monetary contribution aims to provide high-performance enhancements for both the women’s and youth squad to push their performance ability in the international sports arenas. The partnership aims to support a good cause for women’s sportsmanship and excellence; and at the same time apply what we practice in our business by nurturing young talents in the accountancy profession within the sports community.
