Mr Samuel Lim, Assurance Director at CLA Global TS featured on Aspire’s Inaugural list of leaders shaping the future of the finance in Southeast Asia.
Singapore, 10 January 2023 – CLA Global TS (formerly Nexia TS) is pleased to share that its Assurance Director Mr Samuel Lim has been featured on Aspire’s Future of Finance 50 – a list recognising Southeast Asia’s top finance leaders.
Celebrating CFOs, accountants, and financial leaders from different industries across Southeast Asia, Samuel was nominated alongside 49 other leaders who can influence finance function and inspire their communities through tech-enabled transformation.
Samuel has over 10 years of public accounting experience at international accounting firms with extensive experience in litigation support matters and providing assurance services to listed companies, multi-national companies, small-medium enterprises and not-for-profit organisations. His industry expertise includes fund management companies, private-equity funds, food and beverage, energy and resources, hospitality, education, advertising and media.
When Aspire asked where he sees the future of the finance function heading in 5/10 years, Samuel shared: “The finance function will no longer be seen as a “back-office function”. It will be an “all-of-office” function, an integral part of everything that an organisation does. This is achieved by having the finance function as an essential member of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals responsible for the running of the organisation. Finance will lead the way in areas and matters where it is in fact the subject matter expert. It is as important as any member from the other functions of the organisation in this multi-disciplinary team. It will change and it must change. It is up to us today to make that change happen.”
