Professional Experience

Shilong comes from a management consulting, financial services and technology industry background, having previously served in regional leadership roles (Head of Strategy, Head of Customer Discovery & Innovation, Senior Vice President, COO, CFO, CRO, Director level) in MNCs, financial institutions and consulting firms.

Shilong earned his MBA from INSEAD and is a qualified Chartered Accountant, LEAN Six Sigma operational excellence Green Belt and Blue Ocean Strategy certified.

He has developed his career across industries, functions, and geographies, with roles of increasing management responsibility at leading organisations like Kearney, Mastercard, LexisNexis, United Overseas Bank, KPMG and EM Services, building a diverse range of professional skillsets and competencies.

He has leadership experience in project management, corporate strategy, investment, business development and client relationship management, having successfully led strategy, finance, operations, digital transformation and M&A due diligence projects across industries such as financial services / banking, tech, real estate, logistics, e-commerce, consumer retail, private equity and government agencies. He has also led projects in emerging and developed markets across Asia-Pacific; Middle East & Africa; and North America regions.

Apart from his active professional pursuits, Shilong enjoys giving back to the community and contributing to society in his own personal capacity. He was appointed to the NTU NBS Alumni Association Exco and is a venture building mentor at NTU’s innovation & entrepreneurship startup launchpad. He also does adjunct teaching at the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS).
