Singapore, 22 July 2026 – CLA Global TS announces the expansion of its leadership team in Malaysia with the appointment of Michael Leng as Director, Risk Advisory. This appointment represents the first phase of CLA Global TS’s strategy to further strengthen its operations and deepen its capabilities in Malaysia, enabling the firm to better serve clients in an increasingly complex business and regulatory environment.
Michael brings more than 25 years of experience across Malaysia and the United Kingdom, advising Boards, Audit Committees and senior executives on governance, enterprise risk management, internal audit transformation, regulatory remediation and control optimisation in complex and highly regulated organisations.
In his new role at CLA Global TS’s Malaysia office, Michael will lead the firm’s Governance, Risk & Internal Audit practice, helping clients strengthen governance frameworks, enhance risk oversight and improve organisational resilience.
A Chartered Accountant and Fellow of CPA Australia, Michael has held senior leadership, advisory and consulting roles across global financial institutions, professional services firms and technology companies, including nearly two decades in London. He has advised organisations across healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, property and transport sectors. Beyond his professional work, he is passionate about mentoring young people and helping them develop skills, confidence and meaningful career opportunities.
As part of the firm’s growth plans, Michael will also spearhead the expansion of the Risk Advisory team, with additional hires expected to join the practice. These new team members will complement CLA Global TS’s existing Malaysian workforce of nearly 100 professionals operating from the firm’s headquarters in Singapore and its office in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Looking ahead, CLA Global TS aims to grow its Malaysia team to 150 professionals and establish a new office in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. This expansion will strengthen the firm’s ability to deliver a full suite of services, including Audit, Tax, Risk Advisory, Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions, International Business Advisory, and other advisory solutions, to clients across Malaysia as it continues to expand its team and capabilities.
