On Wednesday, CLA Global TS hosted a seminar titled “Fundamentals of Fund Economics: An Accounting and Tax Perspective” for a close-knit group of clients and industry partners.

During the event, Mr. Samuel Lim, Assurance Director, and Mr. Shaun Zheng, Director, Asset Management & Private Wealth Tax Lead, led an engaging discussion, offering invaluable insights into, amongst others, fund structuring, fund vehicles, remuneration models and financial reporting standards in fund management. The session concluded with a focus on transfer pricing considerations for single family offices in Singapore, a topic that is often overlooked.

The dialogue between the speakers and attendees made the session highly productive, addressing essential aspects from both accounting, tax and regulatory perspectives.

With effective fund structuring, EAMs, family offices and aspiring first-time managers who wish to manage third-party monies will have better chances to ensure optimal generation of alpha, foster sustainable growth, and enhance shareholder and investor satisfaction.
