Singapore, 30 June 2025 – CLA Global TS is pleased to announce its support for the inaugural CLA Global TS – Singapore Press Club Finance Journalism Award at the Singapore Press Club Award 2025.
Now in its fourth year, the annual Singapore Press Club Awards recognise outstanding journalists and media professionals who have made significant contributions to Singapore’s vibrant media landscape.
Through this new award category, CLA Global TS reaffirms its commitment to championing excellence in finance journalism and supporting the broader media community.
The Finance Journalism award recognises a journalist who has demonstrated commitment and passion to deliver finance news, be it breaking news or insightful storytelling to readers, useful information on complex and ever-changing financial issues, and debunking misinformation through their work in the media.
“In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, marked by increasing accounting and regulatory scrutiny, the delivery of accurate and timely financial news is more crucial than ever. As a professional services firm in the Business Advisory and Accounting industry, CLA Global TS is pleased to create winning opportunities for Singapore’s media industry by supporting the inaugural Finance Journalism Award. The award recognises an individual who not only demonstrates professionalism as a journalist but also possesses the financial knowledge to turn complex insights into meaningful highlights for businesses and individuals — much like what our Business Advisors do for our clients,” said Henry Tan, Group CEO and Chief Innovation Officer at CLA Global TS.
Following the close of nominations in mid-May, Henry Tan and a panel of judges — including Kevin Lim, veteran journalist who has worked for various news organisations including CNA, Reuters and Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, and Amit Jain, Director of the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies at Nanyang Business School — convened at the CLA Global TS office to review the finalists and select the winner of the Finance Journalism Award. The award will be announced at the Singapore Press Club Awards Night on 16 July 2025.
“Collaborating with esteemed judges Kevin and Amit, I look forward to celebrating the incredible talent and dedication within the finance journalism community. It’s an exciting opportunity to evaluate remarkable submissions and inspire a new generation of finance journalists who are shaping the narrative in the finance sector and making a significant impact through their storytelling. I am excited to see the innovative ideas and perspectives that will be showcased—elevating journalism standards and fostering excellence in the finance and accounting industry,” added Henry Tan.
