Singapore, 2 March 2026 – CLA Global TS is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Teo as Director, Risk Advisory, Sustainability & Climate Change. Prior to this appointment, Maria served as an Associate Director, where she led the Sustainability and Climate Change team within the firm’s Risk Advisory practice and specialised in areas including Risk Management and Data Governance.
In conjunction with this appointment, CLA Global TS also announces the appointments of Christine Lee and Meriana Ang as Deputy Assurance Leaders. Meriana will also take the lead in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) business. In their roles as Deputy Assurance Leaders, they will support the Assurance Leader in strengthening and expanding the firm’s assurance and IPO practices.
CLA Global TS Appoints Maria Teo as Director, Risk Advisory, Sustainability & Climate Change
With effect from 1 March 2026, Maria will join the leadership team to further strengthen the firm’s Sustainability and Risk Advisory capabilities, supporting companies in a wide range of sustainability advisory and reporting areas as well as the design, review, and enhancement of governance, risk and internal controls. She also has extensive experience in advisory areas including data governance, data analytics and visualisation and forensic accounting.

Maria has more than fifteen years of experience in assurance, compliance and other advisory work. During her career, she has been deployed across various business units, including Assurance and Advisory services, and spent several months on secondment to the UK. Across the CLA Global network, she also participates actively in the Sustainability, AI and Global Mobility committees to develop and enhance the capabilities of talent across the network.
Maria currently serves as the Chairperson of ISCA’s Young Professionals Advisory Committee and the Global Talent Programme Taskforce, and sits on the Sustainability and Climate Change Committee. She has also participated in mentoring programmes under ISCA Cares and the Young Professionals Advisory Committee, and advocates for the improvement of professional development programmes such as the Sustainability Reporting Professional certification and Financial Forensic Accounting qualification.
