Singapore, 21 July 2025CLA Global TS congratulates outstanding journalists and media professionals at the Singapore Press Club Awards 2025 night held on 16 July 2025. CLA Global TS is proud to be part of the annual Singapore Press Club Awards, which recognise journalists and other media-related professionals who have excelled in their craft and made a meaningful impact through their work.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the inaugural CLA Global TS – Singapore Press Club Finance Journalism Award by CLA Global TS Group CEO & Chief Innovation Officer, Mr. Henry Tan, to Mr. Dylan Loh, Singapore-based Correspondent at Nikkei Asia. Through this award, CLA Global TS reaffirms its commitment to championing excellence in finance journalism and supporting the broader media community.

“The Singapore Press Club sincerely thanks CLA Global TS for its sponsorship of the inaugural Finance Journalism Award at the Singapore Press Club (SPC) Awards Night on 16 July 2025. The Award recognises a journalist who has demonstrated commitment and passion to deliver finance news, be it breaking news or insightful storytelling to readers, useful information on complex and ever-changing financial issues, and debunking misinformation through their work in the media industry. The Club is also heartened that Mr. Henry Tan, Group CEO and Chief Innovation Officer of CLA Global TS helped in the judging of the award, along with two other industry professionals. This has certainly enhanced the credibility of both the award and its recipient. The Singapore Press Club looks forward to this partnership continuing for the years ahead. Now into its fourth year, the SPC Awards has seen strong support and has become one of the Club’s signature events,” said Mr. Bhagman Singh, Vice President of the Singapore Press Club and Chair of the Awards Committee.

“A heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and to the Singapore Press Club on a successful Awards Night — celebrating the brilliance of exemplary journalism. CLA Global TS is honoured to have supported the inaugural CLA Global TS – Singapore Press Club Finance Journalism Award. We extend our warmest congratulations to Mr. Dylan Loh on his well-deserved win. The competition was intense, with many deserving finalists. The judges faced a challenging task in selecting the eventual winner. In our eyes, each finalist is a winner — reflecting the high standards of excellence in journalism,” said Mr. Henry Tan, Group CEO and Chief Innovation Officer at CLA Global TS.

The Awards Dinner was graced by Guest of Honour, Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information,
alongside many distinguished media veterans, journalists, media professionals, and corporate partners.

The judging panel commented that Dylan stood out in a strong field of nominees with his scoop, “Singapore family office of rich Chinese hit by $55m fraud scandal”, which created ripples across the global wealth management industry. This story and a subsequent follow-up were picked up or cited by competing media from around the world. Dylan is a versatile journalist who can break major stories and craft insightful analyses and feature pieces across a wide range of topics. His stories also appear in the Financial Times and Deal Street Asia, which are part of the Nikkei Group.

“Financial journalism has taken on increasing significance as the global economy undergoes a season of turmoil; with markets, trade and wealth flows being shaped by an interplay of forces stemming from policies being adopted by major powers. It is heartening to note that the Singapore Press Club and CLA Global TS are championing the advance of this segment of news reporting by recognising works in this field,” said Mr. Dylan Loh.

“As an accounting and advisory group, we recognise the vital role that strong and accurate financial journalism plays in upholding the integrity of the finance industry. Through this award, we are proud to support initiatives that promote responsible reporting and inspire a new generation of finance journalists. It’s a rewarding opportunity to evaluate remarkable submissions, celebrate innovative ideas and perspectives, and elevate journalism standards — ultimately fostering excellence across the finance and accounting sector,” added Mr. Henry Tan.
